While specialty cocktails are certainly having a moment in regards to wedding trends, there’s nothing quite so classic as a palate pleasing glass of wine. That said, selecting a wine that not only pairs well with your wedding day menu but also one that is universally appealing can be a daunting task. When selecting a white wine, Sauvignon Blanc is a popular choice for a multitude of reasons. It tends to have lower alcohol content than other white comrades such as Chardonnay and its versatile, light bodied flavor is an excellent compliment for seafood, eggs, salad, chicken, and vegetables. Fun fact: Kate Middleton drank Sauvignon Blanc at her rehearsal dinner the night before her nuptials to Prince William, so rest assured this white wine is fit for a princess.
